EyeTech Turns Two!

Wow, can you believe it's been two years since we opened our doors in Richmond? This past year has been marked by continued growth in numerous directions. We are deeply grateful for the support of the community, the trust of our patients, and the exceptional dedication of our incredible team that keeps the entire operation running smoothly.

Updates From Year Two

• April 2023: We introduced Tom Ford and Ted Baker frame lines, which have been excellent additions to our selection. Both lines offer options for men's and women's glasses, with Tom Ford featuring some striking sunglasses that are hard to miss on display. We aim to continue getting to know our patients so that we can bring in new brands that resonate with you.

• June 2023: Direct Billing was implemented to create an easier checkout process and save you time, eliminating the headache of dealing with submitting claims manually. Initially, we could only bill a select number of insurance companies, but now, we can direct bill to a majority of the most common companies such as: Canada Life, Sunlife, Greenshield, Blue Cross, Great West Life, and Manulife.

• August 2023: We partnered with Otto Contacts, a safe and secure option, to streamline the process of ordering contacts, making it easier than ever for you. This system allows us to provide quotes for different supplies of contacts, set up reminders before you run out of contacts, and simplify the rebate process for you.

• November 2023: We launched a new website to make it easier for you to find information and stay up-to-date with the latest developments at EyeTech. This includes our online platform with Otto, allowing you to order dry eye products and contacts directly from our website.

• November 2023: After another busy summer season, we welcomed a new staff member! Erin, with 4 years of experience as an optometric assistant, has been an incredible asset to our team. She's a jack of all trades and another bright, smiling face you'll encounter at EyeTech. Keep an eye out for her on our Staff Page soon!

• December 2023: We introduced The Darwin and The Myah to EyeTech. These two pieces of technology have enabled us to improve the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye disease. With The Myah, we're also helping slow down the progression of Myopia in children by taking specific measurements of their eyes. This technology holds great potential to benefit many of our patients. Community Involvement

As Richmond continues to flourish, we remain committed to supporting the community.

We sustained our sponsorships with the Richmond Legion Association, Richmond FairGrounds, Munster Harvest Fest, St. Philip Parish and St. Claire Mission, Richmond Centennial Golf Course, The Ottawa Fiddle and Step Dance Club, and the St. Phillips Elementary School Fun Fair. As a family-owned business ourselves, we understand the importance of supporting those around us. It's remarkable what a small community can achieve when we all work together.
